A record could be set in Austin this weekend for the most simultaneous number of events in or around downtown.
The eight special events on Saturday that are expected to cause road closures and increase pedestrian activity include: the Texas Book Festival, the Austin Film Festival, Tour de Fat, Gypsy Picnic, Viva la Vida festival and procession, Abolish the Death Penalty march, Purple Strides 5K, and Light the Night.
