 Let's Keep Austin Ridesharing-Friendly

UPDATE 01/19/2016 : THANK YOU AUSTIN!

Campaign to reverse the anti-ridesharing rules.

Last month, Austin’s City Council approved anti-ridesharing rules that could drive UberLyft and other ridesharing companies out of Austin when they go into effect in a few months.

Ridesharing Works for Austin, a coalition of ridesharing supporters, launched a campaign to give you a chance to reverse the City Council’s decision, keeping Lyft in town for good.

One of your next Lyft drivers might ask you to sign the campaign’s petition. But there’s more you can do to support this campaign and ridesharing:

Visit Ridesharing Works’ website. There, you can sign up for direct email updates from the campaign and download a petition. Stop by one of our two petition locations to sign the petition and pick up packets to collect signatures on your own at these locations

Austin Java @ 1206 Parkway - weekdays from 7-11 a.m or 4-8 p.m. and weekends from 8-11 a.m. and 4-8 p.m.

Dominican Joe’s @ 515 S Congress - weekdays from 11 a.m. to 5p.m.

GET INVOLVED!

Now is your chance to make your voice heard, and ensure that Austin remains ridesharing-friendly.

More Information:

Because the petition is a legal document, signatures must meet certain requirements to count. Only residents of the city of Austin who are registered to vote are eligible to sign. All signatures must be accompanied by a full name, residence address, and either a date of birth or voter registration number. All signatures must be completed on paper.

How to Trust God When Everything Seems Impossible #FaithOverFear

Life is full of challenges, and sometimes, these challenges can feel insurmountable. We face situations where the odds are stacked against us, where solutions seem out of reach, and where despair starts to creep in. In these moments, trusting God can feel difficult, yet it is precisely during these times that our faith is most crucial. Here’s how to trust God even when everything seems impossible. 1. Remember God’s Faithfulness in the Past When facing seemingly impossible circumstances, it’s important to remember the times when God has come through for you in the past. Reflect on past situations where God’s guidance, provision, and love were evident in your life. The Bible is filled with stories of God’s faithfulness, such as when He parted the Red Sea for the Israelites ( Exodus 14:21-22 ) or when He provided manna in the wilderness ( Exodus 16:4 ). Remembering these instances strengthens our faith and helps us to trust that God will be faithful again. Scripture Reference: "The L...

Living with Purpose: God’s Plan for Our Lives on Earth

God’s purpose for our lives on Earth is beautifully woven throughout the entire Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, His plan for humanity is clear: 1. To Know and Love God The greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. Our primary purpose is to have a personal relationship with Him. 📖 Matthew 22:37-38 – “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment.” God created us to walk with Him in fellowship, just as He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden before sin entered the world ( Genesis 3:8-9 ). 2. To Glorify God in All We Do Everything we do—our work, relationships, and daily lives—should bring glory to God. 📖 1 Corinthians 10:31 – “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 📖 Isaiah 43:7 – “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I created for My glory, whom I formed and made.” We are reflections of His love and grace,...
