What Should Our Focus Be. Jesus or Demons?

One of the enemy’s greatest strategies is simple —
he wants your attention.
But Jesus calls us to something higher…
He calls us to fix our gaze on Him.
Yes, the spiritual battle is real.
Yes, the Bible acknowledges demons.
But pay attention to this:
📌 Scripture never commands believers to study demons.
📌 Scripture never glorifies the enemy.
📌 Scripture consistently draws our focus to the power and supremacy of Jesus Christ.
When the disciples returned excited about casting out demons, Jesus gently redirected their celebration:
“Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you;
but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
— Luke 10:20, NKJV
Jesus was reminding them — and us — that our joy isn’t found in warfare, but in salvation.
🌟 The Bible teaches:
Be aware… but don’t be consumed.
Stand firm… but don’t be afraid.
Resist the devil… but don’t magnify him.
Here’s what Scripture actually tells us to do:
1. Be Alert, But Trust God Completely
“Be sober-minded, be watchful.
Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
— 1 Peter 5:8
Awareness is wisdom.
Fear is not.
2. Resist the Enemy — He Must Flee
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
— James 4:7
Victory begins with submission to God,
not obsession with the enemy.
3. Stand Strong in God’s Armor — Not in Your Own Effort
“Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
— Ephesians 6:11
Notice:
The armor is about truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, peace, and the Word —
not learning the details of demonic activity.
4. Remember Who Has Already Won
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities
and put them to open shame,
triumphing over them in Him.”
— Colossians 2:15
Darkness isn’t winning —
Jesus already crushed it.
5. The Greater One Lives in You
“Greater is He who is in you
than he who is in the world.”
— 1 John 4:4
You don’t fight for victory.
You fight from victory.
6. Focus Your Faith on Christ Alone
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,
the author and finisher of our faith.”
— Hebrews 12:2
Faith grows when our eyes stay on Him,
not on the enemy.
So let this be your heartbeat today:
☝️ Focus on Jesus — not the battle.
☝️ Worship Jesus — not your spiritual experiences.
☝️ Trust Jesus — not your ability to “discern darkness.”
☝️ Follow Jesus — not fear.
The enemy loses influence the moment you stop feeding him attention.
The more you look at Christ,
the smaller every attack seems…
and the stronger your spirit stands.
Stay centered on Him.
Stay rooted in His Word.
Stay confident in His victory. 🙏❤️
